God as King

we are familiar with the term Jesus is King, yet less familiar with scriptures that reveal 'God as King' Not that there are two kings on two thrones, but one sovereign king who alone sits on the throne (Rev) Consider these scriptures.Who is the King? Psalm 24:8 tells us Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.The LORD is king forever Psalm 10;16 God is the King Psalm 47:5,6 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD with the sound of the horn. Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises!Psalm 74;12 For God is my king of old working salvation in the midst of the earth.So our God is the Saviour too working salvation in the midst of the earth.Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (Titus 2;13).Rev 4;2,8 describe the one on the throne as the Lord God almighty which was and is and is to come. Jesus describes himself as the LORD which was and which is and which is to come, the Almighty (1;11,18)
